Opportunities for collaboration between New York State and Sweden: Wireless Business Applications in Public Safety and Smart Transport.
This webinar will address the technology and innovations enabled by the development of 5G and next generation wireless technology, such as smart transport, public safety, and other integral services of smart cities.
Sweden has been a global leader in the wireless technology industry and within innovation for several decades. Through industry-leading technical innovations, strategic global rollouts and symbiotic partnerships, Swedish companies such as Ericsson have had a dramatic impact on the telecommunications landscape of the United States, as well as through other leading companies in different sectors. As a counterpart for strategic collaboration, New York State has been identified as a relevant geographical target for city and state-wide societal applications. Both state and city governments are continuously investing in new technology and development and are considered prominent in smart city initiatives on various levels.
New York has in recent years rolled out the nation’s largest and most ambitious state investment in broadband expansions throughout remote and underserved areas, and is also one of the states with the highest level of commercially available 5G rollouts in the U.S.
In cooperation with the Swedish Consulate General in New York, we are excited to invite you to participate in a Virtual Seminar to open a dialogue catalyzing business collaboration around Smart Cities between Sweden and New York State. The discussion will focus on wireless business applications accelerating public safety and smart transportation. Our guest speakers represent select organizations operating in different regions of the state of New York (including NYC metro) and are considered specifically suitable for collaboration with Swedish companies.
